Barcelona were beaten 2-0 by Bayern Munich, but it’s a game Barcelona could have won.

Barca were guilty of wasting opportunities at the Allianz Arena and it cost the team the win.

Speaking after the game, Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez admitted his team lost because they failed to take advantage of their opportunities.

Xavi said: “When you fail to take advantage of your chances in the Champions League, you end up paying for it.

“We have been better than Bayern. But they do take advantage of the chances, that’s the difference.

“We had 6 or 7 chances to score.”

Barca right-back Jules Kounde has backed his side to beat Bayern Munich next time around, and he believes Robert Lewandowski will take his chances when the two teams meet again.

“Next time, Lewandowski will score the chances he missed today,” Jules Kounde said.

“We competed very well. It’s about details. What we lacked are goals. We got a little lost in the corner, and conceded a second goal shortly after.”
