Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez admitted after the game that he was mad about the defeat to Bayern Munich.

Barca had a good game and were the better side, but the Blaugrana couldn’t convert their chances, while Bayern Munich did after the restart.

Xavi said after the match: “I’m mad because we should have won. We played a match to win. [Robert] Lewandowski missed chances, Pedri got two, Raphinha from outside the box… this is disappointing and unfair.

“Competing means winning corners, closing transitions, or having a chance in front of the goalkeeper and scoring it. I’m leaving angry. We had to win today. We have to be more effective in both of the areas.”

Speaking after the game, Pedri admitted he must improve.

“I know I had two clear chances to score. I should have scored them, and I will need to improve”, Pedri told the press after the 2-0 away loss to Bayern Munich last night.
