Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez tweaked his squad to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League tie.
The biggest surprise to the line-up was the decision to start Andreas Christensen and Marcos Alonso in defence.
Alejandro Balde and Eric Garcia were expected to start, but Xavi pulled a surprise.
Explaining his decision, Xavi said the duo were fresh.
“They come fresh, it’s a good match for Marcos Alonso and Christensen. It’s the best eleven to compete,” Xavi told the media ahead of the Champions League tie.
“Today is going to be a very tough test,” he added.
Barcelona lost the tie 2-0, after a very encouraging first-half display.
