Bayern Munich have had the upper hand over Barcelona in recent years.

Barcelona have lost all four of the last meetings with the German side.

However, Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer is expecting a different game this time around.

Hainer believes the match would be tight, but backed Bayern to win the game.

“Barcelona is coming back, they have an excellent team at the moment, and they are a great club,” Bayern Munich’s president Herbert Hainer said in his interview with Diario Sport.

“I don’t think the 8-2 will repeat. Back then, in 2020, we faced Barcelona at a good moment, when we were in great shape, and everything was going well for us.

“Barca is much stronger now than two years ago. Laporta is the right president to bring Barca to where it belongs, and I expect an even game.

“Of course I expect us to win, but I also expect a very tight game.”
