Barcelona have a huge Champions League clash against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday.

Xavi has an array of options in the left-back position – as Marcos Alonso, Jordi Alba and Alejandro Balde are all options in that position.

According to AS journalist Javi Miguel, Xavi is planning to start Alejandro Balde in the left-back position to face Bayern Munich.

Balde has been Xavi’s main man in that position this season, even though he has called on Alba at times, and summer signing Marcos Alonso only recently made his debut in the La Liga game against Cadiz.

Bayern Munich and Barcelona started their Champions League campaign on a winning note. Barca defeated Viktoria Plzen 5-1, while Bayern Munich beat Inter Milan 2-0.

Barca will travel to Germany to face Bayern in a game that could determine the sole leader of the Champions League Group C on Tuesday night, September 13.
