Barcelona will make a move for €100million Manchester City star Bernardo Silva in January, according to media outlet Sport via Daily Mail.

Barcelona were heavily linked with a move for Silva during the summer transfer window but failed to reach an agreement with Manchester city for the transfer of the midfielder.

Silva is one of the top players in Pep Guardiola’s team, having helped them win four Premier League titles, four League Cups and one FA Cup during his five years at the club.

The Portugal international has started the new season in good form, as he has scored two goals and assisted two more in his six Premier League appearances.

Silva’s father, Paulo recently spoke about Barcelona’s summer interest in his son.

He said: “There were a lot of talks, but no concrete offer was made at the times we thought were right.

“When it came, we realised it was no longer the right time for all parties involved. Things have to happen rationally and it wasn’t the ideal scenario for Bernardo.”
