Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema will definitely be worried about the arrival of Robert Lewandowski at Barcelona.

The 34 year old Poland captain broke Karim Benzema’s Champions League record as Barcelona beat Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Lewandowski went past Benzema on the list of all-time highest goalscorers in the Champions League after scoring a hat-trick against Viktoria Plzen. Lewandowski now has 89 goals in Europe’s premier footballing tournament, while his Real Madrid counterpart finds himself at 86.

Lewandowski is now the third-highest goalscorer of all time in the competition – only Cristiano Ronaldo (141) and Lionel Messi (125) have scored more than him.

Lewandowski has scored eight goals in just five games for Barcelona this season.
