Barcelona have been in talks with Chelsea to sign up Marcos Alonso from the club. But no deal has been yet agreed. 

Barcelona have not moved for the player in recent days due to other transfer priorities – most especially the registration of new signings like Jules Kounde.

Also, the emergence of Alex Balde is believed to have slowed down talks for Alonso, with Barcelona focusing on signing a right-back instead.

According to a report by Diario AS, Barcelona had a meeting with Marcos Alonso’s agents, and Joan Laporta promised to sign the player before transfer deadline day.

Alonso hasn’t been part of the Chelsea team this season, and is yet to play for the Blues this term.
