Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez has said that the team is well protected in the left-back position.

“I think the left-back position is well covered for this season with Balde and Alba,” Xavi has told the media.

Interestingly, Barcelona remain linked with Marcos Alonso, and reports claim the Spaniard has already agreed terms with Barcelona.

Xavi however wants the club to focus on strengthening the right-back position this summer.

“We have Sergi Roberto and Dest there, but Dest knows my stance on his situation.”

Some reports claim Xavi may opt to use summer signing Jules Kounde in the right-back position.
