The Champions League group stage draws was conducted on Thursday evening, and we are set for a thrilling Champions League season.

Barcelona was grouped in Champions League Group C – the so-called group of death, which has Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Viktoria Plzen.

For the second year in a row, Bayern Munich have been drawn in the same Champions League group as Barcelona.

Barcelona’s clash with Bayern didn’t go well for Barca last season, as German side defeated Barcelona 3-0 twice. The Catalans eventually finished in third place in the group and had to play Europa League.

Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann has warned Barcelona that he’s targeting the same results as last season.

“Regarding the Barcelona match, the first thing that comes to mind is the confrontation with Robert Lewandowski,” Nagelsmann said, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.

“I hope we can achieve results similar to what we achieved in recent years against Barcelona.”
