Barcelona have since shown an interest in signing Manchester City star Bernardo Silva.
Bernardo Silva himself is also open to joining Barcelona.
Barcelona and Man City played out an exciting 3-3 draw in a friendly match at the Camp Nou on Wednesday night.
Barca boss Xavi Hernandez was asked about Bernardo Silva after the game.
“Who doesn’t like Bernardo Silva? But also De Bruyne, Haaland… They have a great team,” Xavi said.
“There are no news regarding Silva. He’s an important player for Pep and City. But yes, I love him as a player because there are very few players like him… But that depends on City.”
Meanwhile, Silva admitted earlier this month, that he’s open to joining Barcelona, but would respect whatever decision Manchester City makes.
He said: “They have always been honest with me and I have always been honest with them.
“As I said, I will always respect my relationship with Man City, with the fans, with the staff, with my teammates, so whatever happens happens and for sure, it will happen in a very respectful way.”
