A number of Barcelona players have been linked with an exit from the club this summer, but they have so far failed to leave the club.

According to reports, Barcelona reportedly want to part ways with Martin Braithwaite, Sergino Dest and Frenkie de Jong. However, the players are not willing to leave the club.

Xavi has now sent a message to players who don’t want to leave the club.

“It doesn’t bother me when players refuse to leave. Everyone looks out for their own future,” Xavi said at a press conference.

Xavi gave De Jong a starting role against Real Sociedad, and was less critical of his mistakes after the game against Real Sociedad.

“I’ve seen a very good Frenkie, despite him losing the ball which led to a goal,” Xavi said in his post-match interview.

“We need to improve in a lot of things. It’s true that De Jong lost that ball, but he also did things very well.”
