Barcelona sends message with 4-1 victory

Barcelona have shown intent as they defeated Real Sociedad 4-1 away from home.

In what was a hotly contested clash, Barca showed their dominance with an emphatic display.

Man of the match Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring 44 seconds into match. However, the home team drew level five minutes after through Alexander Isak.

Both teams continued to have a go at each other, but the first-half ended 1-1.

VAR came to Barcelona’s rescue early in the second-half as a David Silva free-kick goal was ruled out for offside.

From then on, Barcelona took the game by the horn.

A quickfire double from Ousmane Dembele and Robert Lewandowski in the 66th and 68th minute gave Barcelona a good cushion.

Ansu Fati sealed the 4-1 victory in the 78th minute with a fine team goal.

Indeed, Barcelona have sent a message with this performance that they’re ready for a title challenge.
