Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez has spoken of the need for Ferran Torres to be a key player for Barcelona this season.
Ferran joined Barca in January last season from Manchester City.
During his half season at Camp Nou last term, Torres played 26 games and scored 7 goals with 6 assists in all competitions.
Torres missed the entire pre-season and the first game of the new season due to injury.
The 22-year-old has since returned to training and is available for Sunday’s game against Real Sociedad.
Xavi has backed Torres to be a key player for Barcelona this season.
“He’s trained very well this week. He’s focused and 100% involved. He has to be a key player for us. He’s also a goal scorer.
“I see him more on the wing, but he has the ability to play in the middle as well.”
