Barcelona arch-rivals Real Madrid have lost a key player in Casemiro this summer.
The Los Blancos decided to sell Casemiro to Manchester United for a reported €70m fee.
Madrid have signed Aurelien Thouameni as a replacement for Casemiro, who has been a proven player for Real Madrid over the years.
Speaking in his latest press conference, Xavi was asked to comment on the transfer of Casemiro, and the Barcelona boss admitted it was a huge loss.
“They make decisions and I don’t know what has happened but there are situations that can arise and they have sold him. There is no doubt that it will be a very important loss for Madrid,” Xavi said.
“Casemiro has been a player who has marked an era for Madrid. He has achieved a lot and with him, they have won many titles.
“They have signed other players and decisions are made. I can’t and shouldn’t say anything else because this is enough, we have our issues to discuss.”
