‘I leave happy’ – Player says after leaving Barcelona, the club he loves

Oscar Mingueza has sealed a move to Celta Vigo, and the 23-year-old joined Celta Vigo in a deal worth up to €3 million.

Mingueza, who can play as centre-back and right-back, rose through the ranks at Barcelona before making his first-team debut in November 2020.

Miguenza has now revealed that he leaves Barcelona – a club he loves – with a happy heart.

“I always dreamed of succeeding at Barcelona, but I was clear that if it wasn’t possible, I didn’t want to be a problem for the club.

“I don’t leave sad, I leave happy because I know I’ve given my best,” Oscar Mingueza has told El Larguero.

Explaining Mingueza’s move to Celta Vigo earlier this summer, Xavi explained to the defender that he won’t be getting minutes in case he stayed, and the La Masia graduate decided to leave the club.

Mingueza made 66 appearances and contributed with two goals and five assists during his time at the club.
