Barcelona finally signed up Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich last month after a long saga.

Thousands of Barcelona fans came out to see their new star striker last Friday as Robert Lewandowski was officially unveiled.

Fans came in their numbers to the Nou Camp to welcome Lewandowski to Barcelona, with about 57,000 fans being present.

For the Poland international, it was an incredible sight.

“Incredible! I didn’t expect so many fans,” Robert Lewandowski told Sport1 when asked about his Barcelona presentation attracting a crowd of 57,000 fans.

“It doesn’t matter that I had more than other players like Ronaldinho or Ibrahimovic. Those were different times anyway. But in the end it’s really nice when you get so much support right away. Such experiences stay forever.”

Lewandowski is indeed happy to be a Barcelona player.

“It’s just a new feeling for me,” the Pole said about joining Barcelona.

“I needed this change, this move to another country to another club. I feel like a kid who got a new toy.”
