Pedri steals show in pre-season friendly. Read what he has to say

Barcelona ended the pre-season in fine form after beating Mexican side Unam Pumas 6-0.

Pedri and Robert Lewandowski stole the show for Barca, with 19-year-old Pedri scoring two goals and setting up one more.

Veteran striker Lewandowski, scored once and assisted two more.

Speaking after the game, Pedri said the win was for the fans.

Pedri said: “We wanted to win this match for the crowd. We’re very optimistic.”

The young midfielder also admitted that the team is looking forward to the start of the season where they can challenge and win trophies.

“We’re very excited for the start of the season. We are Barça, we are always looking for titles, especially this season,” he said.

Pedri also reserved praise for Lewandowski as they both had a good time on the pitch.

Pedri said: “It’s a luxury to play with Lewandowski. He’s always looking to score. My understanding with Lewandowski is normal. I’m trying to look for it.”
