The Joan Gamper Trophy between Barcelona and Unam Pumas was a special game for Barca legend Xavi, as he eventually got a send-off from the club he has served for many years.
Although Barcelona won the tie 6-0, Barca captain Sergio Busquets invited Dani Alves to the podium to lift the trophy together.

Speaking before the game, Barcelona boss Xavi revealed that Alves deserved a send-off.
Xavi said: “It’s the last game [before the start of the season], I’ll share the minutes.
“It will also serve as a farewell to Dani Alves. He deserves it.
“When I told him he had to leave the club I told him he deserved a tribute. I talked it over with the president to make it happen.”
