Barcelona defeated MLS side New York Red Bulls at the Red Bull Arena on Sunday morning.

Goals from Ousmane Dembele and Memphis Depay sealed a 2-0 victory for Barcelona, in what was the team’s final pre-season game in the United States.

Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez has admitted he’s satisfied with his team following the end of pre-season tour of the United States.

“The pre-season tour was positive in general. We still have work to do, but I am satisfied,” Xavi said at the end of the game against New York Red Bulls.

Xavi also insisted that he was very happy with the squad depth at his disposal, following Barcelona’s investment this summer.

The Barcelona boss said: “I want to have two starting players for every position. That is a good problem to have. Last year, we had a small squad. We’re happy to have a more complete squad now.”

Barcelona will start the season with a home game against Rayo Vallecano on August 13.
