Barcelona have reached an agreement with Celta Vigo for the transfer of defender Oscar Mingueza.
The deal is now subject to a medical and agreement of personal terms.
Mingueza, who can play as centre-back and right-back, rose through the ranks at Barcelona before making his first-team debut in November 2020.
The 23-year-old won the Copa del Rey in his debut season, and went on to make 66 appearances across all competitions for Barcelona, registering two goals and five assists.
Following the arrival of Andreas Christensen and Jules Kounde, Oscar Mingueza has been deemed surplus to requirements.
Reports claim Mingueza will join Celta in a deal worth up to €3 million. The defender is expected to sign a four-year contract at the Estadio de Balaidos.
Reacting to the transfer, Xavi said: “I’m happy for Mingueza, and I wish him all the best.”
