Barcelona president Joan Laporta has revealed he’d like to re-sign Lionel Messi at Barcelona, as he claims that Messi’s story at Camp Nou isn’t over.

Xavi Hernández, head coach of FC Barcelona, has as well revealed in a press conference in the US that he and the club would love to bring Lionel Messi back to the club.

Xavi was asked if he would like to see Messi back in Barca, to which he responded: “Yes, but at the moment Leo has a contract with another club.”

He then added: “It doesn’t make sense talking about Messi now. He is the best footballer in the world and in the history of soccer.

“President (Joan Laporta) said he wishes the story between Leo and Barca will continue. We will see in the future. But right now it isn’t the time to talk about Leo.”

Barcelona teenage sensation Ansu Fati, was asked if he would want Barcelona to re-sign Lionel Messi.

He bluntly told TV3: “Of course,” Fati said.

“Messi is the best player in history, and he deserves a better ending at Barcelona.”
