Barcelona’s pre-season has continued on a fine note, and Barca boss Xavi Hernandez was present this time to lead the team to a 1-0 win over Real Madrid.
Barcelona looked dominant in the first half against the Los Blancos, with Raphinha scoring in the 27th minute.
The second-half seemed different from the first half, as both sides made many changes at half-time.
At the end, Barcelona held on to their victory against their biggest rival.
Xavi was pleased with his side’s performance against Real Madrid, and insisted that it wasn’t a friendly game to them.
Xavi said after Barcelona beat Real Madrid 1-0 in the pre-season Clasico: “The first half was brilliant but the second half was complicated. It was good overall.
“We came here to win and we did it. We suffered towards the end of the game but I am still satisfied with today’s match.”
“We were the better team. At Barcelona, there are no friendly matches… We always want to win, especially against Real Madrid,” the Barca boss added.
