According to reports by SPORT, Barcelona forward Ferran Torres will be fit to play in FC Barcelona’s pre-season friendly against La Liga rivals, Real Madrid.

Torres suffered a knock to his right foot on the first day of pre-season training camp and has been absent since then.

He missed the 1-1 friendly draw against UE Olot and also the 6-0 thrashing of Inter Miami.

The Spanish forward is expected to be declared fit ahead of Thursday’s practice session.

The Spanish international is under pressure to impress Xavi after a mixed start to his Barcelona career after arriving in January earlier this year.

According to reports, the former Manchester City star has put himself in top physical condition despite his absence, as he has been training hard during the summer break to work on his physical fitness.

Torres has now been deemed fit for the Clásico tie in Las Vegas on the 24th of July.

However, Torres will first train with the first team during their session at the Cashman Field in Las Vegas on Thursday morning to put himself in contention for El Clasico at the Allegiant Stadium.

Following the summer signing of Raphinha from Leeds United and Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich, and also the return to fitness of Ansu Fati, Torres will definitely have a huge job of convincing the manager ahead of the new season.
