Bayern Munich CEO release statement as Lewandowski says farewell to Bayern Munich teammates

After so much going back and forth, Robert Lewandowski is now set to become a Barcelona player.

According to confirmed reports, Bayern Munich have finally accepted an offer from Barcelona for Lewandowski.

Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn, has now confirmed that both clubs have finally reached an agreement for Lewandowski.

“We have now reached an agreement with FC Barcelona for Lewandowski. So far, however, only verbally, the contract is still pending,” Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn told Sports Bild.

The Poland international was spotted hugging his teammates after training today, in what seems like a goodbye message to his Bayern Munich mates.

According to reports, Barcelona expect the 33-year-old striker to join the rest of the Barcelona squad in the US for pre-season games.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that a deal will be signed in the next 24 hours.

“Robert Lewandowski said goodbye to Bayern teammates and will sign the contract in the next 24 hours in order to become new Barcelona player. It’s agreed since end of February. #FCB

“Xavi, in contact with Robert for months to explain the project.”

Lewandowski has since agreed personal terms with Barcelona, and is now set for a move to the Camp Nou.

Lewandowski has signed a three-year contract with Barcelona, and an announcement is expected to be soon.
