Barcelona set to hijack another deal from Chelsea

Chelsea fans must be hating on Barcelona this summer transfer window.

First, Chelsea had agreed a fee with Leeds United for Raphinha, only for Barcelona to hijack the deal. The Brazilian is now on his way to Barcelona.

It now seems Chelsea will miss out on another key transfer target, Jules Kounde.

Chelsea had been linked with the Sevilla star for over a year now, and the Blues had even reached an agreement with Kounde last year, but Sevilla didn’t sell.

Chelsea are back in for Kounde this summer, but reports have it that the Frenchman is on his way to Nou Camp.

According to transfer expert Gerard Romero, the Catalans have now won the race for Jules Kounde.

Reports claim Kounde has agreed a salary and contract with Barcelona and all that remains is for the Spaniards to agree a fee with Sevilla.

Barcelona cannot meet Kounde’s release clause of £67m, and are ready to negotiate a deal instead.

According to the report, Barcelona may offer Memphis Depay to Sevilla, with the club in need of an attacker after Anthony Martial’s departure.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are also targeting top striker Robert Lewandowski, while a deal for Raphinha and free agent Ousmane Dembele have also been confirmed.
