One player gained, one player lost – Latest Barca transfer update

For all the news about Barcelona’s lack of funds to compete in the transfer market, Joan Laporta has indeed used the club’s pedigree to ruffle out some deals.

Already, Barcelona have confirmed deals for Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie, who joined on a free transfer from Chelsea and AC Milan respectively.

Barca aren’t still done in the transfer market, as some players are also expected to sign for the club.

Meanwhile, reports claim Barcelona may have lost out in the race to sign Raphinha from Leeds United.

The Brazilian is keen on a move to Barcelona, and the La Liga giants had hijacked the deal from Chelsea.

Chelsea have had a deal accepted for Raphinha. However, Raphinha had agreed personal terms with Barcelona in March and was keen on moving to the La Liga, and Barcelona were banking on that to sign Raphinha.

However, Barcelona have failed to reach an agreement with Leeds for the transfer of Raphinha.

Barca’s latest offer for Raphinha has been rejected, leaving Chelsea as the only club to have reached an agreement with Leeds for Raphinha.

According to reports, Deco and Leeds United have now given Barcelona an ultimatum to match Chelsea’s offer or forget about signing Raphinha.

Meanwhile, a plus for Barcelona would be the signing of Ousmane Dembele.

Ousmane Dembele has decided to re-sign with Barcelona after having left the club upon the expiration of his contract earlier this month.

The Frenchman’s camp has agreed to a two-year deal with the Blaugrana, putting an end to a lengthy contract negotiation process.

Re-signing Dembele is definitely a big plus for Barcelona, and would feel like a new signing.
