Chelsea owner visits Barcelona. Deal on the card?

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has been spotted in Barcelona to discuss transfer signings.

Barcelona are interested in two Chelsea players – Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso, while Chelsea are going for Frenkie de Jong.

Andreas Christensen has already swapped Stamford Bridge for Camp Nou and Barcelona hope to follow that deal up with an agreement to sign Chelsea duo Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso – and the two players have just 12 months remaining on their contracts.

According to Fabrizio Romano, deals for Azpilicueta and Alonso is expected to be discussed in the meeting.

Romano tweeted: “Chelsea owner Todd Boehly wanted to schedule meeting with Barcelona to know them in person and discuss of many topics. Barça ask for Marcos Alonso & Azpilicueta after personal terms agreed #FCB

“Barça don’t want to pay too high fee as both are out of contract next year. #CFC”

According to 90min, Boehly is also expected to ask about the situation of midfielder Frenkie de Jong who has been linked with a move to Manchester United.

Spanish transfer expert Gerard Romero, has claimed that Chelsea have submitted an irresistible bid to Barcelona for Manchester United transfer target De Jong.

Manchester United and Barcelona have reached an agreement on the value of De Jong’s transfer but both clubs are yet to reach an agreement on the structure of the transfer.

Manchester United’s last offer for Frenkie de Jong is €65million guaranteed plus €22million in add-ons.

Barcelona want €75million guaranteed from Manchester United plus €12million in add-ons.
