Brazilian star Neymar, was bought by Paris Saint-Germain back in 2017 for a world record fee of €220m.
Five years after, PSG are now ready to sell Neymar, for way less than he was bought.
Reputable Spanish journalist Jose Alvarez has told El Chiringuito TV that Barcelona will have the chance to re-sign Neymar for just €50 million in the summer transfer window.
The Brazilian international faces an uncertain future at the Parc des Princes heading into the summer transfer window, with PSG keen on offloading him ahead of the 2022/23 season.
PSG agreed a contract extension with Neymar last year, an agreement which sees him net £600,000 a week.
However, the Paris club are ready to cash in on the Brazilian after giving Kylian Mbappe a massive pay package to stay at the club amid Real Madrid’s interest.
According to ESPN’s Julien Laurens, a reliable source for French football news, Paris Saint-Germain have made Neymar available for transfer this summer.
Interestingly, PSG are said to be demanding £43m for the former Barca star.
Neymar has a stunning record for PSG, having amassed 100 goals and 60 assists in 144 appearances thus far for PSG.
It’s yet to be seen if Barcelona would make a move for the 30-year-old star, given the club’s financial situation, coupled with his current extravagant wages.
A Neymar transfer to Barcelona may not be feasible at this point.
