Andreas Christensen has confirmed he’s no longer a Chelsea player after the expiration of his contract with the Premier League side.

Christensen opted against signing a new contract with Chelsea, and has reportedly agreed terms with Barcelona as a free agent.

However, his transfer hasn’t been confirmed by the club yet.

Christensen has however revealed that everything is going on fine with his move to Barcelona.

“I know where I have to play,” Christensen told reporters after Denmark’s win against Austria.

Asked where he would be playing next season,  Christensen said: “Unfortunately, it’s not entirely up to me [the timing of the announcement]. There are also other things that need to fall into place.

“Hopefully soon. But I have known what I was going to do for a while. I’m just waiting for the right time.”

A reporter then specifically asked about Barcelona and Christensen, with a wry smile, replied: “It is one of the biggest clubs in Europe. I think it is for everyone – whether they have had their problems or not, it is still one of the biggest clubs for a player to get to.”
