Pablo Torre has now officially signed up for Barcelona after putting pen to paper on his contract at the club on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old midfielder has joined Barca from Racing Santander, signing a four year deal with the club.
Barca had confirmed the club paid an initial β¬5 million plus add-ons which could see it rise to β¬20m.
Upon signing for the club, Torre said: “In the long term all the players who come to BarΓ§a would like to succeed but in the short term I will try to help the team in whatever it needs, I come with the utmost humility but also with the utmost competence and to contribute my bit of sand for whatever it takes.”
On Barca coach Xavi, Torre also said, “Yes, he called me, obviously I was surprised that someone like Xavi knew me so well. He explained the project to me and what he wanted from me and I am delighted to be here.”
