Barcelona youngster Gavi, is now seen as one of the hottest prospects in football.

The 17-year-old only recently burst onto the spotlight this past season, but has now grown into being an important player for club and country.

Gavi has a 50 million euro buyout clause. However, there is a deadline concerning the validity of this clause, as it will increase to 100m euros this June, as stated in the contract he signed in September 2020.

Barcelona are working towards a new contract for Gavi, but reports have it that his agent Ivan de la Pena is pushing to achieve a better financial deal for the youngster.

Meanwhile, Spain boss Luis Enrique was full of praise for the Barcelona youngster after his starring role in the UEFA Nations League tie against Czech Republic, which Spain won 2-0.

“It’s an erupting volcano. It is very difficult not to fall in love with Gavi,” the head coach told TVE. “Any fan wants to see him play.”

When asked if he has had to advise Gavi on any parts of his game, Enrique added: “No, you know, he picks up everything very quickly.”

The Barca youngster scored two and provided six assists in 34 La Liga outings last term.
