Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has been linked with a summer transfer move to Barcelona, as the 33-year-old is keen on ending his 8-year spell with the German champions.
Media outlet Mundo Deportivo has claimed that the 33-year-old will sign a three-year contract with the Catalans worth £27m.
According to the report, the Bayern Munich striker is ready to put pen to paper on a £175,000-per-week deal at Barcelona.
All that is left for the deal is for Bayern Munich to agree a fee with Barcelona for the 33-year-old.
Bayern are demanding €40m from Barca to sell the veteran striker, but it’s a figure that Barcelona are still bargaining.
The move will mark the end of Lewandowski’s eight years at Bayern Munich, during which time he has scored as astonishing 344 times in 374 appearances.
Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong has admitted that he’d love to play with the Bayern Munich striker.
Asked whether he has invited Lewandowski to join him at Barcelona, De Jong laughed and told TVP Sport: “He’s an amazing player, one of the best in the world. It’s up to him.”
Probed further on what he would like Lewandowski to do, the Barca man added: “Of course I would like to have him in my team!”
