Manchester United have seen their first offer for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong rejected, according to ESPN.
Barcelona have reportedly told Manchester United that they will only listen to offers worth €100million for Frenkie de Jong.
While Barcelona are prepared to let De Jong leave this summer to help balance the books amid an ongoing financial crisis at the club, the La Liga giants have insisted they won’t sell De Jong on the cheap.
ESPN also adds that the Barcelona are willing to negotiate the structure of the fee, such as how much of the price is upfront and how much is in add-ons, but the club wants the total package to be around €100m.
Barcelona signed De Jong from Ajax for an initial €75million in the summer of 2019, and would want to make a profit from his sale.
