Super-agent Jorge Mendes was in town recently to have a meeting with Barcelona chiefs over the futures of the Barcelona players he represent.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Mendes met with Barcelona Sporting Director Mateu Alemany and Technical Secretary Jordi Cruyff for dinner, which lasted around two-and-a-half hours.
Afterwards, Mendes to the press waiting outside that Nico Gonzalez won’t be leavin Barcelona this summer.
Mendes said: “Nico Gonzalez they don’t want to sell, even if there are offers for him, he will stay. But we spoke about various players and everything went well.”
Nico Gonzalez had been linked with moves away from the club this summer but Barcelona’s stance that he won’t be sold this summer indicates that Xavi Hernandez values the 20 year old midfielder.
