Spain coach Luis Enrique was delighted with the performance of record-breaking Barcelona midfielder Gavi.

Spain played out a 2-2 draw with Czech Republic, and Gavi scored Spain’s first goal to become Spain’s youngest ever goalscorer.

Enrique was delighted with the 17-year-old’s performance and said after the game: “The good news is that we have not lost and that we depend on us.

“Of course we are talking about Gavi. I already told you that he had a goal. The best thing about him is the complete package of him, the development of him and his quality.”

On the match, he added: “It was not the version we wanted. We have found ourselves with a match that has gone awry from the beginning. The first half has been a pain to overcome their pressure line. We knew how difficult it was going to be. We didn’t deserve to lose.”
