France international Ousmane Dembele is set to decide on his future this summer, following the expiration of his contract with Barcelona.

The 25-year-old has opted against signing a new deal with the La Liga giants, with Chelsea, Liverpool and PSG rumoured to be his preferred destination.

Dembele had flopped at the club following a big money move from Borussia Dortmund. However, it was under Xavi Hernandez that his form improved.

Xavi showed massive favour to Dembele, after his struggles under previous bosses Ernesto Valverde, Ronald Koeman and Quique Setien.

It was under Xavi that the big money signing showed his worth at Barcelona.

According to Xavier Bosch of Mundo Deportivo: “If Xavi’s staff prepared 10 videos in the span of five months for one player, the count went to 25 videos for a certain Ousmane Dembele. 

“The Frenchman analysed the footage with Xavi in order to understand the next best course of action. And the results were visibly brilliant, to say the least, which left Dembele delighted with the care he received Xavi.”

Dembele seems to have forgotten how Xavi played a huge role in resurrecting his career as he’s now seeking an exit from the Camp Nou.
