According to reports, Barcelona boss Xavi has already spoken with Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves regarding a potential summer transfer move.

Neves is being admired by Manchester United, who are keen on signing him this summer.

The 25-year-old’s contract at Molineux expires in 2024, and Wolves are reportedly ready to cash in on their most prized asset as he edges close to the end of his contract.

Barcelona are now believed to be the favourite to sign the Portugal international.

According to Sport, Xavi has already held informal talks with Neves in order to discuss his plans for the midfielder.

Xavi sees the Wolves man as a natural replacement for Sergio Busquets who will turn 34 this month.
